Community
This project would never have gone forward without the valuable input from the people of Oakland. In October of 2015, we held the first of several open meetings at the Oakland Impact HUB to listen to the community and its needs.
We learned that people want a mixed-use location that will expand Oakland’s retail options and provide affordability, walkability, and safety, as well as access to open space for communal areas. The people of Oakland also value adequate housing options, transportation access, and room for economic growth. Above all, EASTLINE should reflect Oakland’s diversity and uniqueness.
The conversation is just getting started. We will continue to open up the planning process and look forward to hearing what you have to say.
